![]() She asked was everything OK and I showed her the breading and was told sorry. ![]() But once started eating the chicken the exterior breading is over cooked but the interior was raw, how this is possible I don't know! We did not see the waitress again until it was time to pay the bill due to everyone talking at the register coming into the restaurant. So I asked for the menu to check to make sure if I'm wrong and again was told "No". I told her that it's supposed to come with the meal and got the same response. I asked the waitress do we not get the salad with the meal and was told "No". When I told her she tells me really! I don't think that she should question me for the wrong tea. I ordered sweet tea and it was not sweet, so looking for our waitress to get it exchanged should have been easy. I ordered the exact same items from the 1st visit. So seeing this seemed a strange place to be talking when customers are coming in! We were taken to our table and gave our order. Walking in the door there were most staff standing and talking. But this visit was so much worse this time. I decided to give this restaurant a second try in hopes that my first visit was just a bad day. I'm looking for compensation or anything for my review as the manager thinks once contacting me. Once a year does not offer enough time to enjoy all the tastes on the menu. Delhart is making its way into a destination instead of a pit stop on our travels. The decor was done with a passion for Texas and added to the experience for this traveler. She even offered a drink refill in a takeout cup for the road. Our server took good care of us and seemed to appear with drink refills at just the right moment. Our only suggestion was to pile on more of the deliciousness known as perfect gravy! Ohhh, yeah the salads came before the meal and were good also. Our food orders were just as prompt and the chicken fried steak and chopped steak with mashed potatoes and corresponding gravies were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We were seated promptly, served our drinks within minutes of ordering with a piping hot loaf of amazing bread. ![]() we felt like every worker in the restaurant stopped by our table to check on us. ![]() Boy, are we glad we did! Friendly, friendly, friendly. Based on that memory, we decided to revisit XIT on our stay in Delhart. Two years ago we ordered BBQ takeout from XIT in the throws of Covid-19 and were impressed by the BBQ in a bag. Wow! The 10 in Texas Woodfire Grill exceeded our expectations on a cold rainy night in March. ![]()
